🌀 Quote

“I’m not angry. I just have resting ‘what the hell is wrong with you’ face.” — Unknown (but definitely someone’s therapist)

🌌 Daily Reflection

Anger gets a bad rap. It’s labeled “toxic,” “too much,” or “a problem to manage,” when in reality it’s just grief wearing brass knuckles and a Do Not Disturb hoodie.

According to the therapists we pay to cry in front of once a week, anger isn’t the villain—it’s the overworked bodyguard. It shows up when sadness is too exposed, grief is too exhausting, and loneliness feels… absolutely unacceptable. Rage steps in like, “I got this.”

Freud probably threw a few chairs himself—he just called it catharsis and charged people for it. And Anakin Skywalker? He didn’t become Darth Vader because he hated democracy. He became Darth Vader because no one taught him how to grieve without combusting. The man was so heartbroken he turned it into a full-time breathing issue. You call that “anger problems”? He built a Death Star around his feelings.

So when anger shows up in you—snapping, spiraling, drafting emails you wisely never send—it’s not asking to be eliminated. It’s asking to be understood. That fire might just be your heart throwing a tantrum because it hasn’t been held, heard, or taken seriously since 2007.

And if self-reflection feels like too much today?

Scream into a pillow.

Cancel a plan.

Blame Mercury retrograde.

Healing is flexible like that.

💭 Thought for the Day

Your anger is probably grief… in a leather jacket… throwing shade.

Reflection Questions

  1. What does your anger protect you from feeling?

  2. When was the last time that feeling was actually acknowledged?

  3. If your anger could speak without yelling, what would it ask for?
