🌌 Daily Reflection

You know that feeling that keeps circling back like a bad ex or your student loan notifications?

Yeah. That’s your pain.

And no, it’s not leaving just because you saged your house, unfollowed three people, and bought a crystal shaped like a dolphin.

In fact, the harder you ignore it, the louder it gets. Suddenly it’s narrating your life like a dramatic voiceover: “She abandoned me again,” while you’re literally just trying to watch Netflix and disassociate in peace.

Here’s the rude truth: your pain has a PhD in persistence. It will show up everywhere—your relationships, your dreams, your mood swings, and that weird back pain that flares up every time your mom calls. Coincidence? Absolutely not.

Psychodynamically speaking, this nonsense has roots.

Childhood? Ding ding.

Early attachment wounds? Trauma buffet.

Welcome to the subconscious—the Airbnb of unresolved crap you forgot you booked but are still paying for.

So instead of ghosting your own feelings like they’re embarrassing relatives, maybe let them sit down. Ask them what they want. Spoiler alert: it’s not a green juice or a gratitude list. It’s to be acknowledged. Heard. Maybe even held.

Yes, that’s uncomfortable.

Yes, it feels gross.

And yes, that’s the work.

💭 Thought for the Day

If your pain were a houseguest, it’d be the one who refuses to leave until you stop pretending you don’t see them standing in the hallway holding all your childhood baggage.

🖋 Reflection Questions

  1. What feeling keeps showing up no matter how much you avoid it?

  2. Where do you notice it living in your body or reactions?

  3. What might change if you listened instead of arguing with it?
